final assignment: spectacle

My final assignment will be two portraits of Connie Culp, the woman to get the first ever full face transplant.

Connie was shot in the face by her husband, and she survived. Her husband received only seven years in prison.



I am painting one portrait of Connie after the shot and one after the face transplant. The portrait with the transplant will be painted on a canvas that says "NOT A MONSTER" and the before shot will be painted on a canvas that says "SEVEN YEAR ITCH"
