here's an image i'm looking at while I'm designing the main wall paper, its by William Morris, but I've decided to use a border for the community piece, I think it will work better with the 8.5 x 11 format

I hope you are doing well and that you will be back in school asap. The installation idea seems solid and I like the idea of wallpaper quite a bit. William Morris is kind of a hero of mine, did you see his book "Notes From Nowhere"?
